Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta has written to the Chief Election Commissioner demanding "strong action" against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and a senior official of his government for allegedly questioning "impartially, integrity and competence" of the poll panel.

Gupta said Kejriwal and an official in the Chief Minister's office "raised fingers" at "impartiality, integrity and competence" of the Chief Election Commissioner and the ECI using Twitter.

A day after the EC ordered registration of an FIR against Kejriwal over his bribery remarks, the Delhi Chief Minister earlier in the day demanded similar action against Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Congress leader Amarinder Singh even as he ridiculed the poll panel urging it should "seek nod" from the PMO for the same.

In a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi, Kejriwal claimed Parrikar made similar statements in Goa, urging people to accept money, but vote for "lotus".
