Delhi BJP leader Vijender Gupta has written to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung demanding a probe into alleged irregularities in hiring of a 'creative team' by the PWD department, a charge rejected by the government.
Gupta alleged that PWD minister Satyendar Jain has "misused" his official position in hiring of the 'creative team', adding that the move will cost the government exchequer around Rs 3 crores.
A government spokesperson, however, said that Gupta had been levelling such allegations since the government was formed while rubbishing the charge.

"He has been levelling such allegations in the past. He cannot play the role of a constructive Opposition. He can get the charges probed by the agencies under his party's government at the Centre," the official said.
Gupta, however said, the money is being spent on hiring of the "so called creative team" in the PWD which already has a full fledged team of highly qualified and experienced professionals.
