In an otherwise steady gur (Jaggery) market, gur Chakku prices spurted by Rs 100 per quintal in national capital today following paucity of stocks amid fresh speculative buying activity.
A similar trend depicted at Muzaffarnagar gur markets, with prices rising Rs 50 per quintal in gur chakku, while other gur quality remained steady.
Marketmen said besides paucity of ready stocks, increased buying support, pushed up gur chakku prices at Delhi and Muzaffarnagar.
