Gur chakku rises in Delhi, pedi in Muradnagar

In an otherwise steady market, gur Chakku prices strengthened by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following tight supplies from manufacturing areas amid increased buying activities.

Muradnagar gur market also showed a rise of Rs 75 per quintal in gur Pedi prices on better offtake.

Market players said restricted arrivals from manufacturing belts due to adverse weather conditions along with pick up in demand mainly pushed up the prices of gur Chakku and Pedi particularly in Delhi and Muradnagar.

In Delhi, gur Chakku prices shot up by Rs 100 to end at Rs 3,200-3,300 per quintal.
 

At Muradnagar, gur pedi prices enquired higher from Rs 2,850-3,00 to conclude at Rs 2,925-3,000 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,200-3,300, pedi Rs 3,200-3,300, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,600-2,650, chakku Rs 2,900-3,100, khurpa Rs 2,900-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,100-3,150.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,925-3,000 and dhayya Rs 3,000-3,050.
