Gur Chakku slips in Delhi, pedi in Muradnagar

In an otherwise steady wholesale gur (Jaggery) market, gur chakku prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today following fresh supplies from manufacturing areas.

Gur pedi prices also dropped by Rs 50 per quintal in Muradnagar on constant supplies.

Marketmen attributed fall in prices to ample stocks following increased supplies from manufacturing belts.

In Delhi, gur Chakku prices slipped by Rs 100 to end at Rs 2,700-2,800 per quintal.

At Muradnagar, gur Pedi prices quoted lower by Rs 50 at Rs 2,550-2,600 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 2,700-2,800, pedi Rs 2,900-3,000, dhayya Rs 3,000-3,100 and shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.
 

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,400-2,450, chakku Rs 2,500-2,750, khurpa Rs 2,400-2,450 and Ladoo Rs 2,550-2,700.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,550-2,600 and dhayya Rs 2,600-2,650.
