Gur closes flat on some support

Dull conditions prevailed at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices hovered at previous closing levels in the absence of buying support.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended flat in thin trade.

Marketmen said restricted arrivals and scattered demand managed to hold gur prices on last levels.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,100-3,200, pedi Rs 3,000-3,100, dhayya Rs 3,200-3,300 and shakkar Rs 3,400-3,500.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,550, chakku Rs 2,775-2,900, khurpa Rs 2,500-2,550 and Ladoo Rs 2,700-2,800.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,650-2,700 and dhayya Rs 2,750-2,800.
