Gur prices plunged by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today due to weak demand amid fresh arrivals of cold storaged gur.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also settled lower and prices fell up to Rs 100 per quintal.

Marketmen said increased arrivals of cold stored gur in the markets mainly put pressure on gur prices.

Besides, lower demand from neighbouring states due to off-season also influenced trading sentiments, they added.
