Gur closes quiet on limited buying support

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market closed quiet in the national capital today following small buying interest amid adequate stocks.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also finished same at overnight levels on sporadic demand.

Marketmen said scattered buying support along with sufficient stocks position managed to hold gur prices at overnight levels.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,100-3,200, pedi Rs 3,200-3,300, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,600-2,650, chakku Rs 2,800-3,000, khurpa Rs 2,750-2,800 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,100.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,850-3,000 and dhayya Rs 3,000-3,050.
