Gur prices weakened by Rs 200 per quintal at wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today largely dragged down by increased arrivals against sluggish demand.
Muzaffarnagar gur markets also ended lower with prices falling by Rs 100 per quintal.
Marketmen said higher supplies largely on higher production following favourable weather conditions amid sluggish demand, mainly led to fall in gur prices.
In Delhi, gur Pedi and Dhayya lost the most by Rs 200 each to settle at Rs 2,650-2,750 and Rs 2,800-2,900 per quintal.
Dhayya and Shakkar prices also fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 2,500-2,600 and Rs 3,000-3,100 per quintal.
At Muzaffarnagar, gur Khurpa prices settled lower by Rs 100 to Rs 2,200-2,300 per quintal.
Meanwhile, chakku and laddoo prices receded from Rs 2,300-2,600 and Rs 2,400-2,600 to finish at Rs 2,250-2,500 and Rs 2,400-2,500 per quintal.

Gur chakku 2,500-2,600, pedi 2,650-2,750, dhayya 2,800-2,900 and shakkar 3,000-3,100.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,200-2,250, chakku 2,250-2,500, khurpa 2,200-2,300 and Ladoo 2,400-2,500.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,400-2,500 and dhayya 2,500-2,550.
