Gur dhayya prices fall on increase supply

Gur dhayya prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today following increased arrivals amidst reduced offtake.

Marketmen said besides sluggish demand, increased supplies from manufacturing areas mainly pulled down gur dhayya prices.

In Delhi, gur dhayya prices traded lower by Rs 100 to Rs 3,300-3,400 per quintal.

On the other hand, gur prices in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar markets remained silent on some support.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku 2,800-3,000, pedi 3,100-3,200, dhayya 3,300- 3,400 and shakkar 3,500-3,600.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,650-2,700 chakku 2,500-2,650, khurpa N.A. And Ladoo N.A.
 

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,750-2,800 and dhayya 2,900-2,950.
