Gur dhayya weakens on muted demand

Gur dhayya prices drifted lower by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today owing to slackened demand against adequate stocks position.

Gur chakku in Muzaffarnagar, also eased on reduced offtake by stockists.

Marketmen said easing demand against adequate stocks position mainly led to decline in gur dhayya prices.

In the national capital, gur dhayya declined by Rs 100 to Rs 3,000-4,000 per quintal.

At Muzzafarnagar, gur chakku also shed Rs 50 to Rs 3,150-3,250 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,700-3,800, pedi Rs 3,900-4,000, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.
 

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,700-2,750, chakku Rs 3,150- 3,250, khurpa Rs N.Q. And Ladoo Rs 3,350-3,400.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,550-3,600 and dhayya Rs 3,600- 3,650.
