Gur ends flat in Delhi, Chakku gains in Muzaffarnagar

The wholesale gur (jaggery) market settled on a stedy note in the national capital today as prices after moving in a limited range on little doing, ended same on last closing levels.

Meanwhile, gur Chakku in Muzaffarnagar recorded a rise of Rs 100 per quintal on paucity of stocks.

Maketmen said scarcity of stocks due to negligible arrivals from manufacturing belts following adverse weather conditions mostly pushed up gur chakku prices in Muzaffarnagar.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku prices ended higher at Rs 3,500-3,600 as compared with last close of Rs 3,425-3,500 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
 

Gur chakku Rs 3,900-4,000, pedi Rs 4,000-4,100, dhayya Rs 4,100-4,200 and shakkar Rs 4,300-4,400.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,400-3,450, chakku Rs 3,500-3,600, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,700-3,800 and dhayya Rs 3,150- 3,175.
