The wholesale gur(jaggery) market remained steady in the national capital today with prices moving in a narrow range on little doing and pegged at last levels.
On the other hand, gur prices in Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar, drifted lower due to sluggish demand from stockists against adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts.
At Muzzafarnagar, gur chakku and khurpa slipped to Rs 2,500-2,800 and Rs 2,400-2,500 from previous levels of Rs 2,600-2,950 and Rs 2,650-2,700 per quintal, respectively.

Gur pedi and dhayya in Muradnagar followed suit and eased to Rs 2,650-2,700 and Rs 2,700-2,750 against last close of Rs 2,750-2,850 and Rs 2,900-2,950 per quintal respectively.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,900-3,000, pedi Rs 3,100-3,200, dhayya Rs 3,200-3,300 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,400-2,450, chakku Rs 2,500- 2,800, khurpa Rs 2,400-2,500 and Ladoo Rs 2,800-2,850.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,650-2700 and dhayya Rs 2,700-2,750.
