Gur ends flat in Delhi, rises in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market closed steady in the national capital today following scattered buying support.

On the other hand, prices at Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets were higher by Rs 50 per quintal on restricted arrivals.

Marketmen said less arrivals from manufacturing belts mainly pushed up gur prices in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur Khurpa and Laddoo prices were higher by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,450-2,500 and Rs 2,500-2,600 per quintal.

Gur Chakku prices also advanced from Rs 2,450-2,575 to Rs 2,450-2,600 per quintal.

At Muradnagar, gur pedi prices were higher by Rs 50 at Rs 2,550-2,600 per quintal.
 

Activity resumed in gur Dhayya at Rs 2,600-2,650 on fresh arrivals.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 2,800-2,900, dhayya Rs 3,000-3,100 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,400-2,450, chakku Rs 2,450-2,600, khurpa Rs 2,450-2,500 and Ladoo Rs 2,500-2,600.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,550-2,600 and dhayya Rs 2,600-2,650.
