Gur ends flat in restricted activity

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market displayed a steady trend in the national capital today with prices after moving in a limited range on scattered support, ended at previous closing levels.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended steady on little doing.

Maketmen said scattered buying support against negligible stocks, kept gur prices unaltered.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 2,700-2,800, pedi Rs 2,850-2,950, dhayya Rs 2,900-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 2,350-2,500, khurpa Rs NT. And Ladoo Rs NT.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,600-2,650 and dhayya Rs NT.
