Gur ends flat on weak demand against thin stocks

The wholesale gur (Jaggery)market finished at previous levels in the national capital today following restricted arrivals against selective buying.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also depicted a steady trend in thin trade.

Marketmen said besides subdued demand due to off-season, mainly kept gur prices unchanged.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,600-3,700, pedi Rs 3,700-3,800, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,700-2,750, chakku Rs 3,150-3,250, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,350-3,400 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
