Gur ends quiet in Delhi, raskat declines

Gur prices after moving in a tight range on limited buying activity, settled unchanged at the wholesale market in the national capital today.

On the other hand, prices of gur raskat in Muzaffarnagar plunged by Rs 150 per quintal due to slackness in demand from beer makers amid increased supply.

Marketmen said persistent arrivals from manufacturing belts against reduced demand from beer makers, pulled down prices of gur raskat in Muzaffarnagar.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur raskat prices dropped by Rs 150 to finish at Rs 2,850-2,900 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,350-3,450, pedi Rs 3,300-3,500, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.
 

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,850-2,900, chakku Rs 3,050-3,500, khurpa Rs 2,800-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,150-3,200.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,950-3,000 and dhayya Rs 3,000-3,050.
