Gur ends quiet in Delhi, up in Muzaffarnagar

Gur prices settled steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today following sporadic demand amid restricted arrivals.

On the other hand, Muzaffarnagar gur market displayed a somewhat better trend with gur prices rising on paucity of stocks.

Marketmen said shortage of ready stocks in the market due to negligible arrivals from manufacturing belts, pushed up gur prices particularly in Muzaffarnagar.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur Laddo prices were trading higher by Rs 100 to Rs 3,250-3,350 per quintal.

Prices of gur Chakku also enquired higher at Rs 3,050- 3,375 as against last close of Rs 3,000-3,375 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
 

Gur chakku Rs 3,600-3,700, pedi Rs 3,600-3,700, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 3,050-3,375, khurpa Rs 2,900-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,250-3,350.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,175-3,350 and dhayya Rs 3,400-3,450.
