Gur ends quiet on sporadic demand

Gur prices closed steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today following sporadic demand amid adequate stocks.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended steady on scattered demand.

Marketmen said limited buying by stockists and retailers coupled with ample stocks mainly kept gur prices at overnight levels.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,700-3,800, pedi Rs 3,800-3,900, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,000-3,050, chakku Rs 3,700-3,750, khurpa Rs 3,400-3,450 and Ladoo Rs 3,700-3,750.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,450-3,525 and dhayya Rs 3,500-3,550.
