Gur ends stable in Delhi; gains in Muradnagar

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market settled steady in the national capital today as prices finished flat after moving in a tight range on little buying and selling.

On the other hand, Muradnagar gur prices rose up to Rs 100 per quintal largely on paucity of stocks.

Marketmen said fall in arrivals from manufacturing areas due to bad weather conditions mainly pushed up prices in Muradnagar gur mandi.

In Muradnagar, gur Pedi prices hardened from Rs 2,400-2,500 to end at Rs 2,500-2,550 per quintal, while Dhayya enquired higher at Rs 2,550-2,600 instead of Rs 2,500-2,550 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
 

Gur chakku Rs 2,600-2,700, pedi Rs 2,800-2,900, dhayya Rs 2,800-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,200-2,250, chakku Rs 2,300-2,750, khurpa Rs 2,300-2,400 and Ladoo Rs 2,500-2,700.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,400-2,500 and dhayya Rs 2,500-2,550.
