Gur ends stable on adequate stocks

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market settled on a steady note in the national capital today on scattered buying support against adequate stocks position.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended steady.

Marketmen said apart from selective buying, ample stocks position kept gur prices at previous levels.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 2,600-2,700, pedi Rs 2,800-2,900, dhayya Rs 2,800-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,200-2,250, chakku Rs 2,300-2,750, khurpa Rs 2,300-2,400 and Ladoo Rs 2,500-2,700.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,400-2,500 and dhayya Rs 2,500-2,550.
