Gur ends steady in Delhi, Chakku up in Muzaffarnagar

Wholesale prices of jaggery moved in a tight range in the absence of buying support and settled around previous levels here today.

However, gur chakku rose by Rs 50 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar markets on fresh buying support.

Marketmen said pick up in demand amidst tight stocks position, mainly pushed up gur chakku prices in Muzaffarnagar.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku gained by Rs.50 to end at Rs.2,300-2,750 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 2,600-2,700, pedi Rs 2,800-2,900, dhayya Rs 2,800-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,200-2,250, chakku Rs 2,300-2,750, khurpa Rs 2,300-2,400 and Ladoo Rs 2,500-2,700.
 

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,400-2,500 and dhayya Rs 2,500-2,550.
