Gur ends steady in Delhi; falls in Muzffarnagar, Muradnagar

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital ended on a steady note today in the absence of worthwhile activity and prices remained unalatered.

On the other hand in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar, gur prices fell up to Rs 150 per quintal on mounting stocks.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur chakku prices slipped from Rs 2,500-2,650 to close at Rs 2,400-2,500 while gur Khurpa prices fell by Rs 50 at Rs 2,450-2,500 per quintal.

Gur Raskat prices also moved down by Rs 150 to trade at Rs 2,250-2,300 per quintal on poor demand from beer making industries.

Coming to Muradnagar, prices of gur pedi and dhayya eased to Rs 2,400-2,450 and Rs 2,500-2,550 instead of Rs 2,500-2,575 and Rs 2,600-2,650, showing a drop up to Rs 125 per quintal.
 

The following are today's quotations per quintal:

Gur chakku 2,700-2,800, pedi 2,800-2,900, dhayya 3,000-3,100 and shakkar 3,100-3,200.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,250-2,300, chakku 2,400-2,500 khurpa 2,450-2,500 and Ladoo 2,650-2,750.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,400-2,450 and dhayya 2,500-2,550.
