Gur ends steady in Delhi, gains in Muzaffarnagar

The wholesale Jaggery market settled quiet in the national capital today following small buying amid adequate stocks position.

On the other hand, gur prices in Muzaffarnagar improved by Rs 50 per quintal on restricted supply.

Marketmen said reduced arrivals, triggered by fresh demand from retailers and stockist mainly pushed up gur prices in Muzaffarnagar.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku and Khurpa rose from Rs 2,675-2,900 and Rs 2,500-2,575 to conclude at Rs 2,675-2,950 and Rs 2,550-2,600 per quintal.

Gur Raskat prices also hardened from Rs 2,500-2,575 to Rs 2,550-2,600 per quintal on better offtake by beer makeRs

The following are today's rates per quintal:
 

Gur chakku 2,900-3,000, pedi 2,900-3,000, dhayya 3,000- 3,100 and shakkar 3,100-3,200.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,550-2,600, chakku 2,675-2,950, khurpa 2,550-2,600 and Ladoo 2,700-2,900.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,550-2,575 and dhayya 2,500-2,550.
