Gur ends steady in Delhi; pedi eases at Muradnagar

Gur prices remained flat at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today in restricted activity.

However, gur pedi prices in Muradngar declined due to lack of buying support.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position against restricted buying activity mainly kept gur prices steady.

However, lack of buying support from stockists led to the fall in gur pedi prices in Muradnagar.

At Muradnagar, gur pedi prices eased by Rs 50 to Rs 2,200-2,250 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku 2,450-2,550, pedi 2,550-2,650, dhayya 2,700-2,800 and shakkar 2,900-3,000.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,100-2,200, chakku 2,200-2,450, khurpa 2,150-2,250 and Ladoo 2,300-2,400.
 

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,200-2,250 and dhayya 2,300-2,350.
