Gur ends steady in Delhi, Pedi moves up in Muradnagar

Gur prices ruled quiet at the wholesale market in the national capital today with prices moving in a tight range on little doing and closed at previous levels.

On the other hand, Muradnagar gur markets showed a rise of Rs 50 in gur pedi prices on restricted arrivals.

Marketmen said tight supplies and speculative buying particularly in gur pedi supported the rise in prices at Muradnagar.

In Muradnagar, gur Pedi prices settled higher at Rs 2,550-2,600 instead of Rs 2,500-2,600 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 2,700-2,800, pedi Rs 2,900-3,000, dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200 and shakkar Rs 3,200-3,300.
 

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,300-2,350, chakku Rs 2,400-2,700, khurpa Rs 2,350-2,400 and Ladoo Rs 2,500-2,650.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,550-2,600 and dhayya Rs 2,650-2,700.
