Gur prices ruled steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today owing to sporadic demand amid restricted arrivals.
On the other hand, gur prices hardened up to Rs 250 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar markets, largely supported by paucity of stocks.
Marketmen said a steep fall in supplies from producing areas due to rising mercury and speculative buying by stockists and retailers mainly drove up the prices in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar markets.
