Weak conditions prevailed at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices of most of the gur varieties fell upto Rs 100 per quintal owing to slackened demand against adequate stocks position.
Marketmen said that besides sluggish demand from stockists and local parties, adequate ready stocks in the market mainly pulled down the prices.
At Delhi, gur chakku and pedi fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,300-3,400 and Rs 3,400-3,500 per quintal. Shakkar also fell by a similar margin to trade at Rs 3,600-3,700 per quintal respectively.

At Muzzafarnagar, gur chakku also eased to Rs 2,850-3,000 against last close of Rs 2,950-3,100 per quintal.
In line with an overall weak trend, gur pedi in Muradnagar too traded in the negative zone with a loss of Rs 50 at Rs 3,100-3,150 per quintal.

Gur chakku 3,300-3,400, pedi 3,400-3,500, dhayya N.A. And shakkar 3,600-3,700.
