Gur pedi prices rose by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital Monday following paucity of stocks amid speculative buying activity.
Meanwhile, Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markers remained unaltered on little buying support.
Marketmen said scarcity of stocks due to thin supplies from manufacturing belts on adverse weather conditions and speculative buying by stockists and retailers, pushed up the gur pedi prices in Delhi.
