Gur prices close muted

The wholesale gur(jaggery)market closed quiet in the national capital today largely on limited arrivals amid reduced offtake.

Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar, also pegged at last levels in thin trade.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position against selective buying activity, kept gur prices unaltered.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,800-3,900, pedi Rs 4,000-4,100, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,200-4,300.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,800-2,850, chakku Rs 3,350- 3,450, khurpa Rs N.Q. And Ladoo Rs N.Q.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,700-3,750 and dhayya N.Q.
