Gur prices end flat in Delhi, Muzaffarnagar; rise in Muradngar

Wholesale gur (Jaggery) market ended on a flat note in the national capital today as prices continued to move in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.

Gur in Muzzafarnagar also depicted a steady trend on little trading activity.

However, gur prices in Muradngar ended lower on lack of demand from stockists.

Marketmen said lack of demand from stockists against adequate stocks position mainly led to decline in gur prices in Muradngar.

At Muradnagar, gur Pedi and Dhayya eased by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,150-2,200 and Rs 2,200-2,250 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
 

Gur chakku 2,400-2,500, pedi 2,500-2,600, dhayya 2,700-2,800 and shakkar 2,800-2,900.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,100-2,200, chakku 2,125-2,300, khurpa 2,050-2,125 and Ladoo 2,200-2,250.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,150-2,200 and dhayya 2,200-2,250.
