Gur prices end flat in thin trade

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market closed steady in the national capital today in restricted activity amid sporadic demand.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets too settled at last levels on little doing.

Marketmen said scattered demand and adequate stocks, mainly kept gur prices on previous levels.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 2,650-2,750, pedi Rs 2,700-2,800, dhayya Rs 2,800-2,900 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,400-2,450, chakku Rs 2,350-2,600, khurpa Rs 2,375-2,425 and Ladoo Rs 2,550-2,600.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,400-2,450 and dhayya Rs 2,450-2,500.
