Gur prices fall in Delhi, Muzaffarnagar on fresh arrivals

Gur prices dropped by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following of fresh supplies from manufacturing belts.

Muzaffarnagar gur markets also witnessed a downward trend, largely on increased supplies from manufacturing belts.

Marketmen said increased supplies from manufacturing belt following favourable weather, mainly weighed on prices in Delhi as well as Muzaffarnagar.

In Delhi, gur chakku prices dropped by Rs 100 to end at Rs 3,000-3,100 per quintal.

At Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku and Laddoo prices were down at Rs 2,750-3,000 and Rs 2,900-3,050 instead of Rs 2,800-3,100 and Rs 2,950-3,050 per quintal.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
 

Gur chakku Rs 3,000-3,100, pedi Rs 3,200-3,300, dhayya Rs 3,400-3,500 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,500-2,600, chakku Rs 2,750-3,000, khurpa Rs 2,700-2,750 and Ladoo Rs 2,900-3,050.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,750-2,800 and dhayya Rs 2,850-2,900.
