Press Trust of India New Delhi
Gur prices hardened by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today following paucity of stocks amid pick-up in demand.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also showed a rise up to Rs 300 per quintal due to scarcity of stocks amid frantic buying.

Marketmen said fall in supply from manufacturing areas due to adverse weather conditions mainly created short supply into the markets and pushed up the gur prices.

Higher demand from neighbouring states also supported the uptrend, they said.

In Delhi, gur Pedi, Dhayya and Chakku prices gained by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 2900-3000, Rs 3000-3100 and Rs 2900-3000 per quintal, respectively.
