Muted conditions persisted at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital today with prices continually trading unchanged in the absence of any worthwhile moving activities.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended steady in the absence of any fruitful bouts of buying and selling.

Traders said sluggish demand due to offseason amid negligible arrivals because of adverse weather conditions for manufacturing hold gur prices unaltered.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,600-3,700, pedi Rs 3,600-3,700, dhayya Rs 3,900-4,000 and shakkar Rs 4,000-4,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs N.Q., chakku Rs 3,125-3,350, khurpa Rs N.Q. And Ladoo Rs 3,250-3,300.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,250-3,350 and dhayya Rs3,400-3,450.
