Gur prices remain quiet on adequate stocks

The wholesale gur (jaggery) market settled steady in the national capital today following sporadic demand amid adequate stocks position.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended without any changes on little doing.

Marketmen said apart from adequate stocks position, scattered demand from retailers kept prices steady.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,350-3,450, pedi Rs 3,300-3,500, dhayya Rs 3,500-3,600 and shakkar Rs 3,600-3,700.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,850-2,900, chakku Rs 3,050-3,500, khurpa Rs 2,800-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,150-3,200.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,950-3,000 and dhayya Rs 3,000-3,050.
