Gur prices remain quiet on small buying

The wholesale Jaggery market settled on a quiet note in the national capital today as prices moved in a narrow range on small buying and ended at last levels.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position against restricted buying by stockists and local parties mainly kept gur prices steady.

The following are today's quotations per quintal:

Gur chakku 2,700-2,800, pedi 2,750-2,850, dhayya 2,900-3,000 and shakkar 2,900-3,000.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,300-2,350, chakku 2,550-2,650, khurpa 2,450-2,500 and Ladoo 2,450-2,550.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,400-2,475 and dhayya 2,400-2,450.
