Gur prices remain stable on scattered deals

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market exhibited a quiet trend in the national capital today following small buying by stockists as well as retailers along with sufficient stocks position.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also pegged at overnight levels in thin trade.

Marketmen said prices almost stagnated due to scattered buying activity amid adequate stocks on negligible arrivals.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,300-3,400, pedi Rs 3,400-3,500, dhayya Rs 3,600-3,700 and shakkar Rs 3,700-3,800.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,650-2,700, chakku Rs 2,950-3,100, khurpa Rs 2,900-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,100-3,150.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,925-3,000 and dhayya Rs 3,000-3,050.
