Gur prices remain steady in Delhi, fall in Muradnagar

Steady conditions persisted in the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market at natioal capital as prices continued to hover around previous closing levels in the absence of any worthwhile buying or selling.

On the other hand, gur prices in Muradnagar gur markets fell by Rs 100 per quintal on sluggih demand.

Marketmen said reduced demand amid increased supplies from manufacturing areas, mainly brought down the prices in Muradnagar gur mandi.

In Muradnagar, gur dhayya prices slided by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 2,800-2,900 per quintal, while gur pedi prices eased to Rs 2,800-2,875 from Rs 2,850-2,900 per quintal.

Following are today's rates per quintal:
 

Gur chakku 3,200-3,300, pedi 3,200-3,300, dhayya 3,400-3,500 and shakkar 3,500-3,600.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,700-2,750, chakku 2,850-3,100, khurpa 2,650-2,750 and Ladoo 2,900-3,000.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,800-2,875 and dhayya 2,800-2,900.
