Gur prices rule flat in thin trade

The wholesale (gur) jaggery market ended on a steady note in the national capital today with prices after moving in a narrow range on limited buying and selling deals, settled at previous levels.

A similar trend was also extended to Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar gur mandis.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position against lack of worthwhile buying activity from local parties and stockists mainly kept prices steady.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,900-4,000, pedi Rs 4,000-4,100, dhayya Rs 4,100-4,200 and shakkar Rs 4,300-4,400.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,400-3,450, chakku Rs 3,500-3,600, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
 

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,800-3,900 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
