Gur prices rules steady

There was not much activity at the wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today as prices of most of gur varieties after moving in a tight range settled at previous levels.

Marketmen said comfortable stocks on higher supplies from producing areas against lack of worthwhile activity from local parties and stockists kept gur prices steady.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 3,700-3,800, pedi Rs 4,000-4,100, dhayya Rs 4,100-4,200 and shakkar Rs 4,200-4,300.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,300-3,350, chakku Rs 3,300-3,400, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,700-3,800 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
