Gur prices slip in Delhi, Muzaffarnagar

Gur chakku prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal at wholesale gur (Jaggery) market in the national capital today following sluggish demand amid adequate stocks position.

Muzaffarnagar gur markets also recorded a fall of Rs 200 per quintal due to weak demand.

Marketmen said besides sufficient stocks position, weak demand from stockists and retailers, led to the fall in gur prices in Delhi and Muzaffarnagar.

In Delhi, gur Chakku prices declined by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 3,100-3,200 per quintal.

At Muzaffarnagar, gur chakku prices enquired lower at Rs 2,650-2,750 from Rs 2,750-2,900 per quintal.

Prices of Raskat also slided by Rs 200 to settle at Rs 2,650-2,700 per quintal due to withdrawal of support by beer makers.
 

On the other hand, in Muradnagar, gur pedi and dhayya prices quoted higher at Rs 3,225-3,250 and Rs 3,250-3,300 per quinal on supply of new stocks.

Following are today's rates in Rs per quintal:

Gur chakku 3,100-3,200, pedi 3,400-3,500, dhayya N.A. And shakkar 3,600-3,700.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,650-2,700 chakku 2,650-2,750, khurpa N.A. And Ladoo N.A.

Muradnagar: Pedi 3,225-3,250 and dhayya 3,250-3,300.
