Gur prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following fresh arrivals from manufacturing belts in view of upcoming festive season along with selective buying by stockists and retailers.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also showed a similar trend with prices falling by Rs 100 per quintal.
Marketmen said increased arrivals from manufacturing belts to meet upcoming festive demand along with limited offtake by stockists and retailers, mainly pulled down gur prices.

At Muradnagar, Gur chakku slipped by Rs 100 to finish at Rs 3,400-3,500 per quintal.
Gur raskat prices too softened by Rs 50 to end at Rs 3,350-3,400 per quintal due to easing demand from beer makers.
Coming to Muradnagar, prices of gur pedi were down by Rs 100 to Rs 3,700-3,800 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,800-3,900, pedi Rs 4,100-4,200, dhayya Rs 4,100-4,200 and shakkar Rs 4,200-4,300.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,350-3,400, chakku Rs 3,400-3,500, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,700-3,800 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
