Gur (Jaggery) prices firmed up by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following paucity of stocks on tight arrivals from manufacturing areas.
Gur prices in Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar also shot up by up to Rs 200 per quintal owing to paucity of stocks.
Marketmen said scarcity of stocks due to restricted arrivals due to adverse weather, mainly attributed rise in gur prices.

In Delhi, gur chakku and pedi prices rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 3,700-3,800 and Rs 3,900-4,000 per quintal.
In Muradnagar, gur pedi went up by Rs 200 to settle at Rs 3,500-3,600 per quintal.
Coming to Muzaffarnagar, gur Chakku prices enquired higher from Rs 3,300-3,400 to Rs 3,350-3,400 per quintal.

Gur chakku Rs 3,700-3,800, pedi Rs 3,900-4000, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,000-3,050, chakku Rs 3,350-3,400, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,500-3,600 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
