Gur raskat declines on low demand from beer makers

The wholesale gur (jaggery) market ended on a steady note today in the national capital today largely on scattered buying support.

On the other hand, gur Raskat prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar gur markets due to slow down in buying by beer makers.

Marketmen said slackness in demand from beer makers mainly pulled down gur raskat prices in Muzaffarnagar.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur raskat prices traded lower at Rs 2,975-3,000 from Rs 3,000-3,050 per quintal.

Following are today's rates per quintal:

Gur chakku 3,400-3,500, pedi 3,500-3,600, dhayya N.A. And shakkar 3,600-3,700.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,975-3,000, chakku 2,950-3,200, khurpa N.A. And Ladoo N.A.
 

Muradnagar: Pedi 3,200-3,250 and dhayya N.A.
