The wholesale gur (jaggery) market showed a steady trend in the national capital today as prices, after moving both ways on alternate bouts of buying and selling, settled at the last levels.

Muzaffarnagar gur markets depicted a weak trend with gur chakku prices falling by up to Rs 100 per quintal while gur pedi in Muradnagar rose by Rs 100 per quintal on better offtake.

Marketmen said gur chakku declined in Muzaffarnagar due to fading demand.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur chakku prices dropped by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 2,550-2,800 per quintal.

At Muradnagar, gur pedi prices were trading higher by Rs 100 to end at Rs 2,700-2,750 per quintal.
