Gur remains steady in Delhi; Chakku falls in Muzaffarnagar

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market ruled steady in the national capital following scattered buying support against restricted supplies.

On the other hand, gur chakku prices slipped by Rs 50 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar gur market on sluggish demand.

Marketmen said besides adequate stocks position, low demand due to off-season, mainly pulled down gur chakku prices in Muzaffarnagar.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur chakku prices enquired lower by Rs 50 to settle at Rs 2,800-3,000 per quintal.

Following are today's rates per quintal:

Gur chakku 3,300-3,400, pedi 3,400-3,500, dhayya N.A. And shakkar 3,600-3,700.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 3,000-3,025, chakku 2,850-3,000, khurpa N.A. And Ladoo N.A.
 

Muradnagar: Pedi 3,100-3,150 and dhayya N.A.
