Gur (Jaggery) prices after moving in a limited range on scattered deals settled steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today.

On the other hand, Muzaffarnagar market showed somewhat weakness as gur prices fell by Rs 50 per quintal on fresh arrivals amid selective buying.

Marketmen said increased arrivals from manufacturing belts along with a drop in off-take by stockists, mainly led to the fall in gur prices at Muzaffarnagar.

In Muzaffarnagar, gur Khurpa and Ladoo prices slipped by Rs 50 each to end at Rs 2,350-2,400 and Rs 2,450-2,500 per quintal, respectively.

Likewise, gur Raskat receded by Rs 50 to finish at Rs 2,350-2,400 per quintal on selective buying by beer makers.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,350-2,400, chakku Rs 2,450-2,550, khurpa Rs 2,350-2,400 and Ladoo Rs 2,450-2,500.
