Gur rules flat in thin trade

Steady conditions prevailed on the wholesale jaggery market here today as gur prices traded in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said restricted buying activity against adequate stocks position mainly kept gur prices unaltered.

The following were today's rates per quintal:

Gur chakku 2,700-2,800, pedi 2,750-2,850, dhayya 2,900- 3,000 and shakkar 2,900-3,000.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,500-2,550, chakku 2,625-2,750, khurpa 2,550-2,600 and Ladoo 2,500-2,600.

Muradnagar: Pedi 2,450-2,500 and dhayya 2,450-2,500.
