Gur settles flat on sporadic demand

The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market closed on a steady note in the national capital today in the absence of worthwhile activity.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets were also trading at same levels on little doings.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position against restricted buying activity mainly kept gur prices unaltered.

Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):

Gur chakku Rs 2,600-2,700, pedi Rs 2,800-2,900, dhayya Rs 2,800-3,000 and shakkar Rs 3,000-3,100.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,200-2,250, chakku Rs 2,300-2,750, khurpa Rs 2,300-2,400 and Ladoo Rs 2,500-2,700.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,400-2,500 and dhayya Rs 2,500-2,550.
